Bitcoin was trading at a high of over $1,000, and after posting, it continued to climb to around $37,600. The increase in the last 24 hours is 8%. Then Elon Musk Tweets once more giving information that Tesla will accept Bitcoin again

Tesla will start accepting Bitcoin again when most of the cryptocurrency mining process is carried out by renewable energy sources, Elon Musk said in a tweet on Sunday 13th, 2021.

Tesla began accepting Bitcoin as payment for its electric vehicles in March, but dropped it in May, raising concerns about the environmental impact, a fact that CryptoDeFinance stated at that time.

Musk commented in an article that the CEO of financial firm Sygnia, Magda Wierzycka, claims that an investigation would have been launched against him long ago in the context of market manipulation, referring to the podcast “Money Show” in which Vezhitsky participated.

“Bitcoin volatility was an unexpected consequence of what I would call market manipulation by Elon Musk,”

“If it were a listed company, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) would open an investigation and punish it severely. What we see is Bitcoin price manipulation by one of the most powerful people in the world.”

Said Vezhitska

According to her, Musk used his influence to deliberately manipulate the Bitcoin price with statements on Twitter, after which he liquidated a significant portion of his position in the digital currency.

Tesla’s CEO responded on a Twitter made by Cointelegraph regarding the accusations, and called the claims “inaccurate” and revealed when he intends to re-accept digital currency.

Bitcoin on the rise again

Just before Musk made the post, Bitcoin was trading at a high of over $1,000, and after posting, it continued to climb to around $37,600. The increase in the last 24 hours is 8%.

Musk didn’t talk about cryptocurrencies for over a week. His last post was on June 5th. That week, a video from the hacker group Anonymous declared war on the billionaire.

Along with the announcement of the decision to no longer accept Bitcoin as payment, Tesla had said it intended to return to digital currency “as soon as mining shifts to more sustainable energy.”

Musk has now made it clearer that it will be when at least 50% of the process is done with clean energy, which should happen soon as several miners are switching to the format.
