Elon Musk asks about Dogecoin or Bitcoin. He may be considering accepting other cryptocurrencies, as payment at Tesla.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Billionaire Elon Musk, the second richest man on the planet, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, spoke again about cryptocurrencies, this time to ask his followers which digital asset is most worth having.
Musk is known to be a big fan of Dogecoin and Bitcoin, but the businessman left the question open, suggesting that he wants to know other options, as there are currently more than 9,000 cryptocurrencies.
“What is the future of hodl?” He asked, using the term “to keep” or “to keep”.
Bitcoin or Dogecoin?
With more than 200 thousand likes and almost 38 thousand comments, several investors suggested several options, each, of course, promoting their respective favorite cryptocurrencies.
Several industry leaders took advantage of the situation to recommend other assets in addition to the well-known Dogecoin and Bitcoin.
Despite this, one of the most notable and liked responses was made by the CEO of Blockstream, Adam Back, who without hesitation ensured that the currency of the future is certainly Bitcoin.
Will Tesla accept other cryptocurrencies?
Bitcoin was the main choice of several followers who answered the question, however, as was to be expected, several projects identified as a scam also showed up in the answers.
It is unclear why Musk asks in a rather unpretentious way what the future of “hold” is, but given the entrepreneur’s track record of supporting cryptocurrencies, he may be considering accepting other digital assets at his companies.
Earlier this year Tesla invested US$1.5 billion in Bitcoin and also started accepting the cryptocurrency as payment for its electric cars.
Bitcoin is the largest cryptocurrency in the world and has appreciated about 100% this year, however, other digital assets, such as Ethereum, have risen more than 200%. This may motivate Musk to start accepting other currencies with the potential for appreciation.
Musk, therefore, should keep an eye on the answers and will likely look at the ones that had the most citations.
It remains to be seen whether the billionaire will make moves toward newly discovered assets such as dogecoin or bitcoin.
